🌍 International Shipping: Duties, Taxes, and Customs Clearance

For orders destined outside the European Union, any customs duties, local taxes, customs clearance costs or other import fees are the responsibility of the customer .

These costs are determined by the customs authorities of the destination country and vary according to local regulations.
Malìa Lab has no control over these amounts , nor is it able to estimate them in advance.

If you refuse delivery or fail to pay customs fees, the package may be returned to the sender or abandoned. In this case, the refund amount will be deducted from the costs incurred for the outbound shipment, the return shipment, and any additional charges applied by the courier.

Malìa Lab guarantees that the products are compliant with what is described on the site and in the communications exchanged with the customer, certifying that such products have the usual qualities and performance of goods and services of the same type and that they are suitable for the intended use.

If the customer receives a damaged, defective, or non-compliant product, they must write to the address info@malialab.it by providing a description of the defect and, if possible, the photo/s of the product detailing the defect. The photographs provided by the customer will be compared and evaluated with those taken by our warehouse before shipment, and the product will be authorized for return if it is determined that the defect is attributable to the company's responsibility. (Shipping costs at the expense of Malìa Lab). Once returned, the product will be checked and a refund of the entire expense will be authorized. In some cases (at the exclusive discretion of Malìa Lab), the defective product may be left with the customer and still refunded. If no conformity defect is found, or if the wear conditions of the item make it impossible to determine whether or not it is a conformity defect, the item will be returned to the sender, charging the shipping cost.

The return of custom-made or personalized items is not possible. However, our desire to meet your needs to the best of our ability and our work ethic drive us to accommodate you as much as possible. You will not be able to return the item, but we can agree on the modifications to be made so that you can use the item you ordered to the best of its qualities. Of course, the least we can do is to carry out all agreed modifications free of charge. The only thing that will be your responsibility is the shipping costs (both for return and for sending after modification).

Important advice: Our customer service and our stylist are focused and super available to best meet your needs. Don't hesitate to ask, even for demonstration videos of both the fabrics and the fit of the garments. It is in our interest to create a piece that is special for you. You can also write to us on WhatsApp for any information; we are at your complete disposal, as if you were in the atelier. We know that in online shopping, distance is a negative factor, but we put all our kindness and passion into bridging this gap, and availability is our strong point.

• Returns for customized or made-to-measure items will not be accepted. (but it is possible to agree on a modification, shipping costs at your expense, free modification)
• The goods must be returned intact, preferably using the packaging in which they were delivered, or one of equal strength, sealed with adhesive tape on all openings.
• A label containing the sender's details, the shipping address, and the authorization code received must be affixed. Alternatively, you can write the required information by hand on the packaging using a permanent marker.
• The goods must be complete with all their parts and in the original packaging (bags, boxes, dustbags, and packages), with the tags still attached.
• All items must be returned along with their original box, where present, which is considered an integral part of the product itself and must not have been damaged and/or altered in any way, and cannot be used as the only external packaging.
• The right of withdrawal may apply to the purchased product in its entirety; it is not possible to exercise withdrawal only on part of the purchased product (e.g.: accessories, complements, etc...);
• The shipment, until the receipt confirmation at the warehouse indicated by Malìa Lab, is under the complete responsibility of the customer;
• In the event of damage to the goods during transport, Malìa Lab will promptly inform the Customer, to allow them to file a complaint against the courier they chose and obtain the relevant refund; the product will then be made available to the Customer, simultaneously canceling the withdrawal request;
• Malìa Lab will not be liable in any way for damage, theft, or loss occurring during or in connection with the return shipping.
• Malìa Lab will refund the Customer the full amount of the returned items, net of the return shipping cost, which will be calculated based on the documented cost incurred. The relevant receipt will be sent to the customer before the refund confirmation.
  The refund will be made within 14 days of receiving the returned product, using the same payment method chosen by the customer, unless otherwise agreed.
  In the case of payment by bank transfer, the customer must communicate to Malìa Lab the IBAN code to which the refund will be made. In any case, the Customer will not incur any costs as a result of this refund. Malia Lab may suspend the refund until the returned product is received or until the Customer demonstrates that they have correctly returned the product, if earlier.

• In any case, the Customer will lose the right of withdrawal in cases where Malia Lab determines that: the returned product and/or its accessories, and/or its packaging are not intact; the product is missing its outer packaging and/or original internal packaging; the product is missing integral elements and/or accessories (e.g. closures, laces, buckles, etc.).

• In the event of the expiration of the right of withdrawal, Malia Lab will return the purchased product to the sender, charging them for the shipping costs and, if already refunded, the price of the product.

What happens after placing the order

1-You will immediately receive a confirmation email of your purchase, with a summary of the ordered garments.

2-Within 24 hours we will contact you and ask if the garment you ordered needs modifications based on your measurements or if you prefer it to be made in size, as stated in the size guide.

All garments are made at the time of the order*, which gives us some freedom during the packaging and creation of the models.

We can customize the measurements of the garment according to your needs. Length, more or less tapered, width, custom tailoring is free and included in the price. For more significant changes to the models, please contact us before placing an order for a quote.

The processing times for a garment can vary based on the complexity of the order. As a rule, an unmodified garment can be processed in 3 - 7 days, while customized ones have a slightly wider timeframe, 3 - 10 days.

Of course, you can tell us about the fabric that impressed you and ask us if a model from the Malìa collection can be made with a different fabric. Or you can combine parts of different models to create one that you like. In either case, this type of customization may incur additional costs due to the creation of the model.

Our quality fabrics are made in Italy by certified producers listed in ICEA, the Institute that oversees Ethical and Environmental certification. The raw material, also certified, mainly comes from foreign suppliers for the fibers that are not produced in Italy (fewer and fewer fibers are cultivated and produced on national soil. We are committed to bringing at least some productions back to our territory and in the case of broom, directly to Calabria).

However, the weaving and dyeing processes (the most harmful to the environment and the body) are carried out in Italy, which gives us superior control over the materials and a higher quality of fabric.

Hemp, a thermal, natural, and durable fiber, has a particular characteristic: it maintains the body temperature of the person wearing it. The characteristics of the fabric are antistatic properties, breathability, and silkiness to the touch. Cupro has a texture and shine very similar to silk, which is why it can be considered "vegan silk."

The fabric is made from regenerated cellulose fiber obtained through artificial processing of cotton linters. The linters form a short fluff that adheres to the seed and is separated through vigorous ginning: it is a fiber of pure cellulose. Cupro has been produced since 1931, exclusively by Asahi Kasei, from cotton linters, a recovery element of the cotton industry. Recovery is one of the credentials for discussing Circular Economy.

Its multi-fiber and capillary structure allows for the creation of a material with unique characteristics of comfort, ventilation, and resistance, but also of extraordinary softness and non-toxicity. The fabrics made with this material are completely hypoallergenic and therefore particularly suitable for contact with the most delicate areas of the human body.

Its production is the result of a process that is currently traceable and, above all, transparent, with both water and energy efficiency, managing to recover almost all materials thanks to its dynamic waste and refuse management system. Cupro, like natural fibers, is a biodegradable fiber, verified by tests conducted by Innovhub-SSI. The Cupro yarn has obtained the GRS, that is, the GLOBAL RECYCLING STANDARD and the ECO MARK, certifying the authenticity of its recycling process.
