Startup Italia article: Green fashion, the eternal clothes of Flavia Amato

When I left my land, Calabria, in 2008, I did it mainly because I thought there was no future in such a land. It could offer me nothing for my personal growth. Spending 8 years outside my region made me realize that I was partly wrong. As happens to many Calabrians who have emigrated, I come to discover something about the history of Calabria when I have not lived in my region for a long time. It seems strange to think about it, but sometimes, we, the inhabitants ourselves, do not know the best peculiarities of the territory in which we live; paradoxically, this strangeness is brought to the extreme precisely in Calabria.

"While studying and gathering information during my training, I discovered the existence of a rich textile history in the Calabrian territory. For this reason, I could only return to my hometown to bring my innovative and sustainable fashion project to life: a way to highlight my region in my own small way and, above all, my desire to recover the local textile traditions."
