DESCRIPTION:
A shawl that speaks of our rich tradition in the area both in terms of material and especially in the processing of the weave. The designs of the vancali have particular meanings and belong to the historical memory of Calabria and much of southern Italy.
Elegant and regal shawl in pure silk, handcrafted on an ancient Calabrian manual loom. Made by the skilled hands of a local master weaver who carefully and attentively carries on the ancient textile traditions of our territory, with whom we are pleased to collaborate on this journey.
A distinctive feature of this shawl, in addition to its softness and thermal capacity despite its lightness (silk is thermoregulating and suitable for 4 seasons), is the type of workmanship, rich and of high quality with patterns created in the weave:
3 different types of plot:
- Concentric diamonds
- Herringbone
- A zig zag with a central flower
Ideal for any occasion, it stands out for its sophisticated weave, the beauty of the fabric, and elegance. Refined and sophisticated, it is the perfect complement for any high-quality outfit. Recommended as a shawl for ceremonies and events (also for the bride).
The dimensions are 60/62 cm (+/- 5 cm) in width and variable length from 170 (+/- 5 cm) to 188 cm excluding the fringes. Very wide and usable also for wrapping around the shoulders, not just the neck, with its soft embrace.
To allow the artisan to create this masterpiece while respecting ethical timelines, we have indicated a longer timeframe, which is why the realization takes between 7 to 15 days. This is yet another step in the creation of the Malìa brand, which we take towards the recovery of our traditions and the first creation of the new territorial supply chain project.

Characteristics of the fabric
100% seta Caratteristica peculiare di questo accessorio, oltre alla morbidezza e alla capacità termica a dispetto della leggerezza (la seta è termoregolatrice e 4 stagioni), è la tipologia della lavorazione, tipica della storia del nostro territorio. Ogni tipologia diversa di intreccio della trama è un disegno che appartiene alla memoria storica calabrese. La seta è la fibra "viva" per eccellenza. Morbida e molto piacevole al tatto, è la più indicata per la pelle, perché ne rispetta la fisiologia. Possiede inoltre il pregio di difendere il corpo dalle cariche elettromagnetiche ed elettrostatiche. Per questo motivo è ideale nei momenti di stress, tensione e superlavoro. NB: Any irregularities present in the fabric's weave (which do not compromise the shape and style of the garment) are attributable to the artisanal production and its uniqueness.

2-Within 24 hours we will contact you, we will ask for your measurements and whether the item you ordered needs adjustments based on your preferences or if you prefer it to be made in size, as stated in the size guide on the product page.
Don't worry about the measurements, you can refer to our Size Guide, or alternatively we can have a short video consultation on WhatsApp lasting 15 minutes, during which we will guide you in taking the measurements correctly.
All items are made to order, which gives us a certain freedom in the packaging and creation of the models. We can customize the measurements of the item according to your needs. Length, more or less fitted, width, custom tailoring is free and included in the price.For more significant modifications to the models, please contact us before placing an order for a quote.
Shipping and Timing
The packaging times for an item can vary based on the complexity of the order. As a rule, an unmodified item can be packaged in 3 - 7 days, while customized items have a slightly longer timeframe, 3 - 10 days. For orders with multiple items, the times are slightly longer, 7 - 20 days.
In detail:
Simple accessories: 3-5 days
Frame accessories: 7-14 days
Caps without modifications: 3-7 days
Customized caps: 3-10 days
Multiple orders: depends on the order 7-20 days
-SHIPPING IN ITALY
Shipping in Italy is the responsibility of the Customer for orders that do not exceed €110. The shipping cost is €7 (the price refers to standard shipping, premium would cost €12) and will be charged at the time of purchase. Shipping for orders over the threshold of €110 is free and covered by Malìa Lab. Delivery times vary depending on the courier and are therefore indicative. Normally, the goods sent will be received within 1-3 working days. (except during congestion periods, such as holiday periods)
-SHIPMENTS IN EUROPE (European Community Countries)
The cost of standard European shipping is €22 if the cart amount is less than €250 and €10 if the amount is between €250 and €500. This amount will be charged on the invoice at the time of purchase. Shipping for orders over the threshold of €500 is free and covered by Malìa Lab. Delivery times vary depending on the courier and are therefore indicative. Normally, the shipped goods will be received in 5-7 working days.
-SHIPMENTS TO EUROPE (Non-EU Countries)
The shipping cost for countries outside the community is €40 if the cart amount is less than €400 and €30 if the amount is between €400 and €800. This amount will be charged on the invoice at the time of purchase. Shipping for orders over the threshold of €800 is free and covered by Malìa Lab. Delivery times vary depending on the courier and are therefore indicative. Normally, the goods sent will be received within 5-7 working days.
Any customs duties and clearance fees are the responsibility of the customer.
-SHIPPING REST OF THE WORLD
The cost of standard shipping outside Europe is €45 if the cart amount is less than €400 and €30 if the amount is between €400 and €600. If the amount is between €600 and €800, the shipping cost is reduced to €25. This amount will be charged on the invoice at the time of purchase. Shipping for orders over the threshold of €800 is free and at Malìa's expense. Delivery times vary depending on the courier and are therefore indicative. Normally, the shipped goods will be received in 7-10 working days.
