I can say that fashion has always been in my life. Even as a child, I loved being with my grandmother when she sat at her sewing machine. There were no electric sewing machines in homes yet and my grandmother had a treadle one. I remember that sometimes she made me sit in her place and allowed me to press the pedal. She helped me do it because I was too small and it was always amazing to see the movement of the needle, which precisely inserted itself into the fabric. Every now and then it happened that the thread slipped out of the eye and therefore had to be reinserted. It was a complex operation for me and I did my best every time she asked me to do it. It's one of those small tasks that you underestimate when you grow up, but when you're little they seem like big tasks. She was my first teacher, as she was my mother's.
That machine, the same machine as my grandmother, is today in my atelier.
When I returned to Calabria with the idea of creating the atelier, my grandmother told me that she knew that I would get closer to this world. And that the machine with which he worked and with which I liked playing as a child, would be his gift for the opening... and for me it is like a treasure, my personal lucky charm, which I decided to restore and use to sign my bosses.
The choice to renovate his old shop in the center of the town.
After completing the annual business acceleration course at ISTAO, in the Marche region, I was presented with a choice: to open in the Piceno area and have a non-repayable loan of €10,000 to start or try something else. My partner and I (from the Marche region) chose something else and I have to thank him above all, who supported and encouraged me. For me it was an almost natural consequence to want to create something innovative in my land. After 8 years in the brands, I made a heartfelt choice. Return and try to create value in my land. So I took my weapons, luggage and my boyfriend and drove 900km down to my old house. Together we renovated an old place in the center of the town. in fact, my atelier was born in the same place where my grandmother had a supermarket in the 70s. An old room, on the ground floor of the house owned by my maternal grandmother. An old place with thick stone and brick walls. I decided to renovate it and recover it. In this way too, value is given to the country. The place is in the center of Guardavalle Marina and my grandmother's business was one of the nerve centers of the old town. Rebuilding an activity like this, doing it again in Calabria is a way to recreate value. And creating value is important to give light and prominence to the country.

The buttons that I still use in my creations today belonged to his shop.
When he had to close the shop due to age limits, he kept some of the remaining items with him. Among the haberdashery items I remember that there were many buttons left.
Buttons of any shape, material and color. As a child I loved to take out
from the boxes, this series of boxes full of "nuggets" in different and bright colors.
The memory remained so strong within me that when I returned to Calabria and decided to open the atelier I decided to recover them.
I use those buttons to decorate my creations.✨
